Lacy Cord cast on

There are many variations of this type of cast on. I teach some of them in my classes. This cast on is a variation of a cast on that can be found in the book Cast On, Cast Off  by Cap Sease. The difference is in the way I pick up stitches on the back. In the book the top lacy portion of the flat cord is used to pick up sts. That can be nice as well. I like to leave the cord untouched, so that beautiful cord is on top of my knitting and fully visible.
